Heliotis is the leader of work package WP8: exploitation and dissemination of results. Furthermore, as an industrial partner Heliotis contributes to the definition of system requirements, user interface, testing and verification.
Heliotis AG provides innovative solutions to volumetric 3D imaging based on a unique Parallel Optical Low-Coherence Tomography technology. The company was established in 2005 as a spin-off from CSEM to exploit the market potential of 3D imaging sensors utilizing on-chip signal processing. Heliotis’ core team incorporates prominent board members, an experienced start-up manager, three engineers, two software developers. The company has established strong partnerships with manufacturers and researchers. Heliotis’ customer base includes manufacturers of micro mechanics, medical equipment manufacturers, embossing and printing technology and research organizations.
Heliotis’ core competence is high-speed 3D-imaging at micrometer resolution based on custom cameras, algorithms and optical schemes. The company has successfully launched 3 core products, is implementing a custom-built industrial inspection system for a watch maker and collaborating with OEM-customers.
